The girls went back to school on Tuesday and I’ve spent the week catching up on work. I loved having the girls home, even though it was intense at times. The lazy mornings are already being missed by us all, they are definitely my favourite part of having the girls home. No rushing around in the mornings.
The weather has been crazy this week, we’ve had sunshine, rain and snow (but it didn’t settle). Of course it has rained on the school run every day!
Here is a little snapshot of my week…
A Night Out With Friends… On Friday the girls went for a sleepover at my parents house for an end half term treat. They love going to stay with them and I have such fond memories of staying with my Nan. It meant that Andy and I could have a night out with our friends. We went out for dinner and a couple of drinks, which was lovely. It was just what we needed and always great to spend time with our friends.
Party Time!… On Sunday morning Alice had a trampoline party to go too and she was really excited to see all her friends. Andy took her and I got to have a couple of hours with my Holly. We popped to the cafe and then she wanted to come home and play with her house. She is really easily pleased and loves to just play with her toys. Alice came home tired from the party, but she had a great time.
Afternoon Tea… In December Andy and I had a Christmas night out with friends and there was a raffle and I won afternoon tea for two. Which was amazing, as I never win anything. I said to the girls who I was with, we should go for afternoon tea and then we only have to pay for a few of us. We booked it for last Sunday afternoon and it was a real treat. The food was delicious and it was lovely to sit and chat for a couple of hours. We should definitely do it again.
A Little Refresh…Over the past few weeks I’ve been giving the hallway a little refresh and I love how it looks now. I added a rug a couple of weeks ago and it has made such a difference to this space. This week a new wall hanging arrived and it fits in perfectly with the colours and style. Just a few more things to do and it will be finished.
This weekend… Our plans have been rearranged due to the weather forecast, as it looks like we are having another weekend of constant rain. It will be another weekend of indoor activities and trying to stay warm and dry.
