My Little Snapshots…

I wrote my last ‘My Little Snapshots’ post on the 13th March and reading it back, we were on the edge of lockdown and there was a lot of uncertainty about what was going to happen. We obviously all know what happened and what a strange 6 months it has been. I didn’t write these weekly update posts, because firstly every day was the same and they wouldn’t be very interesting to read! Secondly, I was busy with home schooling and looking after the children, and I had to fit my job as a blogger in when I could. Which was mainly in the evenings once the girls were asleep.

With both the girls now back at school, and hopefully it will stay like that. I wanted to start writing these posts again. I can’t promise they will be that exciting, as I’m not really doing much at the moment and spending a lot of time at home. But hopefully they are worth reading 🙂

Here is a little snapshot of my week…

Family Time… On Friday it was the last week day the girls were off school, before returning on Monday and we spent the day seeing my parents. We had a lovely walk in a nearby woods and the girls loved the tree swings that were there. It will be strange not meeting up with them every week, with the return of school.

Adventure Golf… On Saturday we met up with my brother and his family. It was the first that we had seen them since March and the girls loved seeing their cousin again. We went to a local Adventure Golf, and it was really well managed. We were the only ones there and it was nice to do a new activity outside. It was great to catch up with them and after last night announcement of the rules changing, it will be the last time we’re all together for a while.

Back To School… The girls went back to school on Monday and they were very excited to be back. It all went really well and they both came home happy. I’m really pleased that its gone well and I can relax a little now. To see them back in a routine, and with their friends is a relief. I hope that it continues.

Seeing Friends…I had coffee with my friend this week and it was wonderful. We have met over the summer holidays, but its not the same with the children there. We sat in a gorgeous courtyard at a local cafe and had a good chat. We also ate cake too, because of course that’s the law. I will never take being able to do this for granted.

The Fall..Andy and I have been watching The Fall on Netflix and its brilliant. It has Jamie Dornan and Gillain Anderson in, and they are both amazing. I can’t wait for the girls to be in bed and to watch another episode. Definitely worth a watch.

This weekend… We’ve kept it a quiet one, as the girls are going to be tired after their first week back to school. Sunday is looking like its going to be hot, which means we may make the most of what might be the last sunny weekend.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
