My Little Snapshots…

It’s been half term for us this week and we’ve had a lovely week together. Andy had half term off too, for the first time, as he had to use up holiday or loose it. I think we were already for a break and whilst its been a very wet week, its been nice to have a chance to relax at home.

Here is a little snapshot of my week…

Time with Family… At the weekend the girls and I met up with their cousin and my sister in law. Sadly my brother and Andy couldn’t come, because we would be over 6 people. But I’m just pleased that we can still meet up with my niece. The girls adore their cousin and we’ve hardly been able to see her this year because of covid. Of course it rained, so it meant a change of plans, but we got to see them and it was lovely.

Sunday Roast… On Sunday we went to my parents for a Sunday roast and it was lovely. It was nice to have a break from cooking for one day, as it feels like I’m constantly cooking! We then went on a nice afternoon walk, to get some fresh air.

Go Ape… I had a voucher for Go Ape, and I thought it would be a great outdoor activity that we could all enjoy. I booked it for Monday and prayed the weather would be kind. Whilst we did have a quick shower when we arrived, it quickly passed and we were able to still do it. It was great fun! Alice has always loved Go Ape and Holly started a bit apprehensive, but got her confidence and was whizzing around in no time. It felt good to be normal for an hour and it felt completely safe.

Pottery Painting…The girls got a voucher to use at our local pottery painting at Christmas and this was our first chance to use it. We had a lovely morning painting together. Alice painted a flamingo and Holly did a unicorn mug. I can’t wait to collect them next week and see how they look.

Watching…We’ve been watching The Sister this week and I love it. It has creeped me out at times, but I can’t wait to watch the last episode. I can’t get over how different the actor who plays Bob is, from when he was in Doctor Foster. He looks and sounds completely different. I love it when they have a drama over consecutive nights and you don’t have to wait for the following week for the next part.

This weekend… It’s Halloween! We are staying home and doing some Halloween baking. I’ve brought some nice Halloween themed food for us. The girls are dressing up at black cats and are very excited. We may not be trick n treating, but we will make it as fun as we can.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
