We made it to the end of the second lockdown this week, but to be honest nothing has really changed anyway. Now we’re in tier 2 and that means we can’t meet up with other households inside. The only difference from lockdown, is we can meet up to 6 people outside, instead of just 1 person. Which does mean we can now see my parents for a walk and I’m hoping the weather is kind to us.
Christmas arrived in our house last weekend. We all needed some Christmas cheer and the girls were very excited to put the tree up. It was just what we needed and the house feels really cosy.
Here is a little snapshot of my week…
Hot Chocolate and Cake… At the weekend we went to a woods near us for a walk and next to it, is a cafe that is doing take away at the moment. It meant we could get hot chocolates and cakes, which felt like such a treat. It was a lovely mild winters day and it was nice to have a walk and support a local small business.
Christmas Tree…On Sunday we put the Christmas tree up and its the earliest we’ve ever put it up. We all needed some festive cheer and the girls loved doing it. It was just what we needed. It had felt like a long lockdown, and it was nice to have something fun and exciting to do. The house feels really cosy and I’m really pleased we did it.
The Queen’s Gambit… We’ve been watching The Queen’s Gambit along with most of the country and its brilliant. We’ve only got 1 episode to go and its one of those that you don’t want to end.
Furry Friends… I had a lovely walk with my friend this week. It was lovely to catch up with my friend too. Covid has taken away so many memories from us all. All those times we would’ve spent with friends and family, that we couldn’t do. I treasure the moments we do have.
Fours Years…It’s been 4 years since we moved into our home. It has flown by and I can’t believe its been four years. We are really settled here and I love the life that living here has brought us. We still have jobs that we would like to do around the house and in the garden. There just never feels like there is enough time.
This weekend… Even though we’re now out of lockdown, it doesn’t feel much different. The weather looks dry on Sunday and we’re going to visit a local house and do a trail that they have on in the gardens.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
