We’re at the end of a long week and everyone is ready for the holidays to begin. Everyone is exhausted and I think we all need a break to relax. We had the devastating news that my parents are now in tier 3 and whilst we’re not that far from them, we’re over the border and still in tier 2. Life is tough at the moment, everyone feels really flat and struggling to find the excitement for Christmas.
We’re having Christmas just the four of us and I will do my best to make it a brilliant Christmas for the girls. They are really excited as they are every year and they deserve to have a fab day.
Here is a little snapshot of my week…
Mottisfont… At the weekend we went to Mottisfont, National Trust. They’ve got a Peter Rabbit trail on at the moment and the girls loved it. It was really quiet and we had a lovely few hours there. I love our trips to the National Trust and grateful that they are still open for us to visit.
Christmas Baking…The girls started Christmas baking and I think we will be doing a lot over the next week. They have a lot of fun doing it and we all love to eat it!
Breakfast with Family… I met up with my cousin, outside for breakfast to do a present swap. It was cold, but worth it. I miss seeing people and when I get the chance to see them, even in the cold, it is always worth it. I can’t wait for this to all be over, and we can all meet up together properly.
Christmas… I really need to get myself organised for Christmas. I have no enthusiasm this year and I really need to start wrapping the girls presents. The weeks have run away with me and I’m not quite sure how we’ve got to a week before Christmas! The girls break up from school today and Andy finishes work.
What We Watched…We haven’t found a decent series to start watching. If anyone has any recommendations, please send them my way.
This weekend… We’re taking the girls to see Father Christmas at our local garden centre.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
